பெயர்ச் சொற்கள் (nouns) மற்றும் பிரதிப் பெயர்ச் சொற்களைத் (pronouns) தமிழில் தன்மை, முன்னிலை, படர்க்கை எனப் பிரிப்பார்கள்...
இதையே இனி ஆங்கிலத்தில் பார்ப்போம்...

E.g.....(e.g. என்றால் example given என்று சில தவறாக நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்...
*e.g. is actually abbreviation for exempli gratia:*
a Latin phrase that means "for example". It can be pronounced as "e.g." or "for example"
Now, e.g. for Nouns:
Man, Women, Children, Officers, Table, Chair, Vehicle, School....etc...
These are all common nouns.
Raman, Sita, my Maruti Swift Car, Mount Himalayas, National High School ....
These are all proper nouns....

'et cetera' which means and other similar things. It is used to avoid giving acomplete list:
We saw lots of lions, tigers,
elephants, etc.
etc. எனில் தமிழில் 'போன்ற, முதலியன' என சொல்லலாம்..
