இலங்கையில் 65000 வீடுகள் இந்தியா....காங்கிரஸ் ஆட்சில் 5 லட்சம்...அதுவே பாஜக ஆட்சியில் 21 லட்சம் அதுவும் மித்தல் கம்பனிக்கே Arcelor Mittal to build 65,000 houses வடக்கில் அமைக்கப்படவுள்ள 65 ஆயிரம் வீடமைப்புத் திட்டம் பொதுமக்கள் வாழ்வதற்கானதா? அல்லது ஒருசிலரின் வயிற்றை நிரப்பிக் கொள்வதற்கானதா என்று சிங்கள ஊடகமொன்று கேள்வி எழுப்பியுள்ளது. வடக்கில் வாழும் வசதி குறைந்த மக்களுக்கு சர்வதேச உதவியுடன் சுமார் 65 ஆயிரம் வீடுகளை அமைத்துக் கொடுப்பதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகள் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதற்கான நிர்மாணப் பணிகள் இந்தியப் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடியின் நெருங்கிய நண்பரான இந்தியக் கோடீஸ்வரர் லஷ்மி மிட்டலின் நிறுவனத்திடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் அமைக்கப்படும் வீடுகள் அனைத்தும் இரும்பு மற்றும் ஒருவகை பிளாஸ்டிக் கலவைகளினால் உருவாக்கப்படவுள்ளன. ஏதேனும் ஒரு கட்டத்தில் குறித்த ஜேடியு எனப்படும் பிளாஸ்டிக் கலவை தீப்பற்றிக் கொள்ளும் பட்சத்தில் அதில் இருந்து வெளியாகும் நச்சுப் புகை உயிராபத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் வல்லமை கொண்டதாகும்.
இதைவிட சிறந்த கான்கிரீட் வீடுகள் முந்தைய காங்கிரஸ் அரசால் சுமார் ஐந்து லட்சம் செலவிலேயே சுமார் ஐம்பதாயிரம் வீடுகள் கட்டி முடிக்கப்பட்டது. மேலும் குறித்த வீடொன்றை நிர்மாணிக்க 21 லட்சம் ரூபா நிதி ஒதுக்கப்படவுள்ளது.
பொதுமக்கள் வாழ்வதற்கு எவ்வகையிலும் பயனற்ற, சூழலுக்குப் பொருத்தமற்ற குறித்த வீடமைப்புத் திட்டத்தின் வீடொன்றுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தொகையில் மூன்று சாதாரண வீடுகளை நிர்மாணித்துக் கொள்ள முடியும் என்று கூறப்படுகின்றது.

The government has initiated the first phase of a plan to build 65,000 houses for the people affected by war in the Northern and Eastern Provinces and the project proposal was presented before the Cabinet by Minister D. M. Swaminathan of the Ministry of Resettlement, Reconstruction and Hindu Religious Affairs. The houses are currently under construction in Jaffna with the use of new innovative technology. Accordingly, the houses will have solar power, water tanks and tube wells, in addition to being fully furnished. The project of building the 65,000 houses is 100 per cent funded by the French and Spanish Government subsidies. Meanwhile, reports suggested that Arcelor Mittal will be awarded the contract to supply pre-fabricated metal houses in this project.
The Ministry of Rehabilitation has identified the need of about 137,000 houses to be built in the conflict affected areas of North and East. Given the additional requirement of 137,000 houses, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved financial concessions to house builders and on Wednesday (10) approved the beginning of the first phase to build 65,000 houses in the interim
