Gene Wilder is gone. He died today. He was 83 and he died from complications with Alzheimers. I remember his great movies, his comedy, his Saturday Night Live performances but mostly I remember how devastated he was when his wife, Gilda Radner, died from ovarian cancer much too young. This is a heartfelt essay about that time but it is not only about his love for Gilda showing through but also all it can teach us about preventing a death from ovarian cancer by being aware of the symptoms and tests to reach a diagnosis.
