Police stopped Christopher Byrne after he was seen driving "suspiciously" in the mall's parking lot. In his car, they found a Ruger 10/22 with 100 rounds of ammunition and bottles containing ammonia and bleach.
In 2014, Byrne was accused of stealing a rifle from a Greenwood Police officer's car and then setting the vehicle on fire.
