Tamil nadu high court has ordered the tamil nadu to issue a circular to all government Departments to enforce of rules of conduct of   tamil nadu government employees not to buy gift items.sampath a retired Rural Development Officer from Rajampattu Village in Vellore district , filed a welfare petition in the high court to enforce the conduct of tamil nadu civil servants not to buy gift items.

    The petition filed by  him came before judges Vaidyanathan and Asha today. In his petition ,''During the britsh rule, by the new year,the practice of giving pro-prietors to their elite was followed.
The practice has continued until after independence.such gifts are being sought in response to high officials.
I have filed a petition with the government seeking action againstgiftbuyers and suppliers and to stop this illegal practice. In response to the Department of personnel and Reforms ,    it was asked to specify which sector..

To  order "as requested in the petition.,

THE SESSION,WHICH CONSISTED OF JUSTICES VAIDYANATHAN AND ASHA, ordered THE TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT AND THE BRIBRERY DEPARTMENT TO REPOND IN TWO WEEKS.
